Brain on Amber

Left the castle a tad earlier than usual due to an unstoppable Walt.

My goodness, can that lad yak.

From the moment I arrived to the blessed moment I left he talked incessantly, mostly about himself and and Henry. And that suited me fine. On the rare occasion when I managed to halt his flow he looked upon me with amazement.

But he appears to have a fine upright streak running through his body does Walt and this was made evident by his concern for his friend back in Zim.
"How do you spell 'entitled'?" he asked.
Apparently he wants this friend to come to the UK because "it's a fine place to live".

"E..N..T...I...T...L....E...D" I annunciated beautifully

His fingers painstakingly spelling out each letter on his mobile.

So as he carried on chatting and texting I stepped up onto the stool because there was, I had noticed, a dire need for more tinsel in the bar area and so without thought for my safety or sanity I flung a few lengths around the head of a gargoyle.

Then the gas man called. "Deal with him" I said to Walt.
"Yes Ma'am"
I rather liked that, issuing orders to the youngster, made me feel like Mrs Danvers. But what a bitch she was.
But I don't do bitch at all well. I'm more like a fusty maiden aunt who cares for her charges despite their reckless behaviour. More Miss Poppins than Mrs D I think.

Just after 10 Henry entered the kitchen looking a bit frayed round the edges, he'd been on the juice Monday night and hadn't got up till teatime Tuesday. Tuesday evening was a bit wet too. But everything is tickety boo Angie...

So then he went to work and I was left with Walt.
But all in all it wasn't a bad morning.

The cats going berserk with a cable tie made everything ok...
