I'm very hot.
But not as hot as I'll be come 2:30 ish.
I want the Sausage eaters to make mincemeat out of the Alfajores eaters. Nothing but complete annihilation will satisfy this roly poly lover.

Apparently, Joachim Low the separated at birth twin brother of Simon Cowell, whispered to a thousand reporters that Germany won't be "shivering" in the changing rooms prior to the match. Blimey! But that's what I expected to hear from our cousins across the sea.

Meanwhile Mr Maradonna is prancing about like a ballerina on steroids yelling threats...

This match could be the match of the tournament John.

Talking of matches, Serena Williams is playing Vera Zvonareva in the ladies final today at Wimbledon and I don't care. Don't care if it goes to fifteen sets and lasts all night. Don't care if Cliff Richard sings or dies in the Royal box, don't care if David (I'm omnipresent) Beckham removes his trousers, don't care if the Umpire falls from his perch I won't be watching. But a Vera win will make this ex-tennis player very happy.

All my emotions will be splayed upon the carpet in my front room watching Low's Germany embarrass Mad'Odonna's Argentina...

I feel the wind of war chilling my ankles....

Wish we were there...

Lebewohl!
I was planning to palm you off with an indifferent post about spring onions but Germany play Argentina this afternoon so words will fly...Later.

Once upon a time my creative writing tutor told me to 'show' rather than 'tell'. But her habit of breaking pencils told me all I needed to know. She was right of course, good fiction doesn't explain it draws you in via the side entrance, but I believe 'telling' has its place and all the great books I've read have had far more telling than showing...

.....When I went into the front room this morning I was tickled by the sound of happy birds, warmed by the faint light of the emerging star and uplifted by the perfume of a dozen or so Oriental Lillies.
Who needs chemical air fresheners I thought when all you need to saturate your senses is a chum's bouquet.

I drank my sweet tea thinking about today...
...Go to the station lunchtime to pick up Mr H. I really don't approve of these overnight shifts. ...But do approve of 'Predator' with Horlicks...
...Drop into the chemist to buy best value/cheap/no fancy packaging pain killers, had an awful head for three days. Heat or tumour?
Duff up some pizza dough for Spain v. Paraguay unless someone suggests Kung Po chicken.
Silence is God's restroom.

Ta ta!

I'm Sick as a Parrot, John

I refuse to be downhearted so close to my BIRTHDAY!!!

The match was a travesty on many counts...
1. Our disallowed goal and
2. The Germans' Greatness....Young team indeed....

But being a true Englishwoman I shall soldier on by having some sweet and sour pork balls and a nice cup of tea..Oh and by flaunting my perfect curves in the above picture...

Oh dear!

I won't mention tomorrow, the 28th June, on account of it being my BIRTHDAY and not wanting my readers to think I am obsessed by my BIRTHDAY:)

Another BIRTHDAY pic will appear, but I'm not sure when;) Probably tomorrow the 28th June.
My BIRTHDAY

Ta ta from a chagrin filled old fan...

Another Quite Big Occasion...

Do I need to say what that occasion is?
Of course not.
Not only am I gearing myself up for my last birthday photo shoot I'm getting in a stinker of a tizz.
Why's that I hear you mumble?
Why? Are you mental?

Football doesn't get any steamier or heart-wrenching than Her Majesty's England team pitching into her cousins the Germans.
So why do I have a wry glimmer of a smile...?
Because although the Germans and us have a 'history' I can't help having a smidgen of connection with the sausage suckers. And you know how much Glo adores a good sausage.
But hearts to one side I'm hoping Fabio's band will flagellate the Saxon hides.

Lovely day today weatherwise.
So after doing lunch and baking a cake I will don my proud polyester armour and walk, with my lads, once more onto the field of honour.

I ride towards the sound of the vuvuzelas>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
