Just What The Doc Ordered.

Just having a quick five minute sit down before I make a Tea-Bread.
Went to charity shop and was grabbed by the vases by a jolly talkative volunteer. When he saw what was in my arms; small rose embossed glass bowl, a grubby old 8 inch plastic Santa and a thick 10 inch Frankincense candle he made a merry quip about getting it all in for Christmas. I smiled weakly and sneezed over him. That shut him up.
Popped into Somerfields. Got bottle of seasonal bleach, whatever that is, and a piece of rump steak with a reduced sticker stuck on it. I'm happy:)
Now Tea Bread, curtains and glass of Port. Medicinal.

Sorry to read you've been sick. I hope you're over the worst of it by now. As you can see, I'm back. My computer caught a virus (kids looking at things they shouldn't) so I have been missing in action.

I got a WONDERFUL surprise while shopping at the new super store. (Not Wal-Mart) There is a WHOLE section with British food!!! I bought Jaffa cakes!! Now I have to ask, what exactly is a digestive? Does it help with digestion? I know, stupid question, but hey, I'm American. There were turquoise colored cans of Heinz 57 beans and all kinds of chocolates, too. The little Duchess was with me and she was overjoyed at the thought of Auntie Angie's food for sale way over here.

Lots and lots and lots of snow here. The weather men call it "Lake Effect" snow. Bah, humbug! They can have it! It's hard to drive in and it's cold and wet and when you get in your car after work, it's takes forever to heat up. I'm ready for Spring.

Hi Duch,

The sniffles are hanging on but I'm bearing up well. Stiff upper lip and all that!.
Jaffa cakes are glorious, remember me sending them last year to the young Duke? Now they are right on his doorstep. Yippee....!

Digestive biscuits are supposed to aid digestion but I don't think they do, well not for me anyway.
They are quite sweet and are sometimes served with cheese! I use them crushed when I make a cheesecake.
You'll have to tell me about the "all kinds of chocolates".
And I love the thought of the little duchess thinking of me because she's seen British food. Love itx3.

As for snow, we had a splattering on Sunday, nothing to get in a flap about but it was nice to see it on the treetops.
