My away day to the seaside was most pleasant.
Fine Spring weather. Not cold, not hot, and just breezy enough to swirl me skirt.
Looked at all the funny people whilst taking a break on a bench by the sea whilst keeping my energy level to the MAX by drinking Lucozade form the bottle.
Then, on the way to the shops, a Chicken McSandwich and Fab Fries...
Here's what I bought.
Picket fencing £2:98
Flower seeds (Poppy) 99p
1kg Wild Bird food £1:99
1ltr Heinz 'Worcestershire' sauce 99p
3 small stainless steel 'Indian' basins. (ideal for individual puddings)
Lilac hanging bird feeder adorned with blue butterfly £1
Icing bag with extra bits £1:29
Mealworms 99p
And so....after admiring the tremendous new traffic lay-out by Southend Vic station we drove home...And as Southend United were playing, a section house of fit Constables were loitering outside Roots Hall with no nefarious intentions...Although that could have changed if they'd been wise enough to arrest me for making lewd handcuff gestures from my open window as my vehicle approached a controlled junction.
Yummy!
Home to tea and playing with my stuff.
The picket fencing will be painted white. I think.
The Poppy seeds broadcast hither and yon.
Indian basins probably used in the making of Sticky Toffee puddings.
Hanging feeder? Not sure yet where to dangle it.
Icing bag for, of course, icing, but naturellement, for the making of Swiss Cakes where the buttery mixture needs to be piped instead of sploshed about.
Didn't feel like cooking tonight so indulged in a Chinese Take-Away:)
So all in all a decent old day:)

Sounds like Southend had something to offer you in the sunshine. Was the town busy?
It was wild with people happy to see the sun and with a few shillings in their pockets.
A great tonic.
Was that gin or vodka with the tonic!!
Please tell me where that photo was taken
I don't drink alcohol.
The photo:
Taken on the newish bit where there's a lift going down to the street, just a few yards from 'The Royals'. I'm no good at directions!
A glass barrier protects people from falling off and if you look to your left you're on the way to the Kursaal, to your right and you're on the way to Leigh on sea.
